News Update - Chynee is 2009 Synergy Soca Star
To members of Carnival 360°

The obvious crowd favourite, Richard 'Chynee' Valentine walked away with top honours at last nights Synergy TV Soca Star 4 finale. Chynee’s electrifiying performance had a packed Jean Pierre Complex roaring throughout his act.

Each performer on the night sang two songs — one older song backed by the original artist, as well as an original composition. Chynee teamed up with KMC for his popular hit “Carnival Bashment” and also performed his own "They Wanna Be Like". Chynee was awarded with a brand new car from Diahatsu and a $30,000 endorsment deal from bMobile for his win.

Second place went to Trini Barbee who performed her first round piece with Denise Belfon and then went on the move the crowd with her solo performance of “Carnival Love” in the second round. (Full results are listed below)
